Saralynn Reese is starting over.
As the new head of PR for the Las Vegas Sinners hockey team, she’s found a
sense of community and a better version of herself. She wants to put the
popular girl image behind her and set new standards professionally and
personally. Naturally, her first big assignment is to clean up the media messes
of the boss’s brother and the team’s assistant GM, who happens to be the
embodiment of her former self. Flirty. Impulsive. Self-centered. He also
happens to be drop dead gorgeous. Could there be more to Madden under the Ralph
Lauren surface?
Madden Vaughn is no stranger to
an embarrassing past. Having struggled with gambling addiction since his early
twenties, he’s finally moved past it and settled into a corporate job working
for his sister, the one person who means the world to him. When rumors fly and
she doubts his word, it’s almost too much to take. He’s ready to drown in his
own sorrows when an unlikely ally pulls him out of his funk with a manicured
hand. He’s tired of chasing the same type of unattainable girl, and Saralynn
fits that mold perfectly. But she challenges him and believes in him like no
one else. He just might have found his match.
Lorelai, Lori, Kelly, America’s
figure skating sweetheart, came just shy of her gold medal dream in the last
winter Olympics. It would have been hers if she hadn’t broken her ankle at the
end of her last program. Now she has four years to train for her next and
possibly last chance. Unfortunately, good coaches don’t come cheap, and to keep
hers, she joins the Las Vegas Ice Show. Rink time is precious. Too bad she has
to share it with the Sinners hockey team. How can she focus when the cute
captain hangs around to watch and offer commentary? She doesn’t have time for a
relationship of any kind and definitely not one with a guy whose schedule was
as crazy as hers.
Phenom and poster boy for the
NHL, Dylan Cole is familiar with athletic pressure. As the youngest captain in
the NHL and frontrunner in the scoring race, he has a lot of hype to live up
to. His teammates are good guys, but when you’re in a category all your own,
it’s hard to find someone who really understands. At least until he gets to
know the nation’s most famous twirl girl. Lori comes across as confident, but
in the moments when her guard comes down, he sees the same doubt and worry he
hides from the world. Her passion and dedication match his own, and he can’t
help the magnetic attraction. Can two people who spend their lives on the ice
thaw just enough to let each other in?
Olivia Parker wanted to be a
doctor ever since she was a little girl. Sports medicine offered exciting
challenges, and she worked her way up until landing a spot with the Las Vegas
Sinners. Her whole life has been goal after goal, and now her sights are set on
being the team’s head physician. With a failed marriage in her past, she’s not
looking for love, but it finds her anyway. His re-occurring injuries keep
Colton in her care, and it’s hard to ignore the sparks between them or all they
have in common. Getting involved with a patient is out of the question, but
he’s planning to retire at the end of the season. Can she leave the past behind
for the future she deserves?
NHL superstar Colton Gunn lived
and breathed hockey his whole life. Drafted young, he spent his career playing
for a team that never won out of loyalty to his hometown. When management
offers to trade him with their blessing so he can have a shot at the Cup before
he retires, he takes it. The Las Vegas Sinners have been a hot team for years, and
word is they’re primed to dominate again this season. They welcome him and his
skill with open arms, but he’s benched more than he’d like with old injuries
that won’t quit. The only silver lining is the beautiful doctor with the
all-business attitude. Not that he wants anything serious. After his first wife
cheated every game he played away, Colton’s intent on keeping things light, but
Olivia slips past his defense and awakens new feelings. Will he risk his one
shot at the Cup to win her heart?
